Nigel Farage offers debate tips to Trump

UKIP'S new leader Diane James is reported to have quit after just 18 days in charge of the party.

Rumours spread earlier on Tuesday about Ms. James being unhappy about signing a "fairly straightforward" document which formally handed her control of the party.

One of the two sources, a party source based in the European Parliament, told the Mirror: "I was informed that she had resigned this morning and written a statement".

"But Press Association quoted him as saying he would not return for "$10million", adding: "No I'm not coming back, I'm retired".

Ms. James becomes yet another UKIP leader to fail to succeed Nigel Farage.

Douglas Carswell, Ukip's only MP, refused to be drawn on the matter this evening as he was eating a shepherds pie. But I hope I don't have to'.

Mother and child possibly abducted, believed to be in extreme danger
An Amber Alert has been issued for a 2-month-old boy and his mother, who were abducted by the baby's father, according to police. Police say Raphael Bevineau is a black boy, 1-foot-8-inches tall, with brown wavy hair, green eyes and a dimple on his chin.

Arabic-language and Iranian media says Daesh leader al-Baghdadi poisoned
However, Syria's ambassador to Russian Federation denied the reports but said, "I definitely know that he (Baghdadi) was wounded". Reports suggest he was a cleric in a mosque in the city around the time of the US-led invasion in 2003.

Trump tax revelation punctuates week of political challenges
Trump has said his attorneys are advising him to keep his tax returns private until a government audit is completed. Donald Trump reacted by arguing that he, in fact, knows "tax laws better than" any other Presidential nominee.

Yesterday, the Electoral Commission confirmed to HuffPost UK it had not received the paperwork from Ukip confirming James was the party's new leader.

She had been the frontrunner in the leadership contest which ended on September 16 and saw her declared victor after taking 8,451 votes, some 46.2 per cent.

Ukip sources claimed the outspoken right-winger will be helping Trump (another outspoken right-winger) in the lead up to the election in November.

MEP Steven Woolfe, the party's immigration spokesman who was ruled out of the previous contest due to a bureaucratic error, is said to be ready to take over if called upon.

Ms James' victory meant Labour and the Lib Dems were Britain's only major political parties without a female leader.

It is unclear who is now leading Ukip, as James did not appoint a Deputy after Paul Nuttall stood down from the role.
