She was sure that by 2016, Americans were set to elect their first woman president.

"I just felt this need to do something, because the first thing I thought of was my girls, and the kind of world I want them to grow up in", Meyers says.

I'm planning to go the Women's March in Montreal, held at the same time as the larger demonstration in D.C.

Of course, the Women's March - which is set to be held the day after Donald Trump's inauguration - is a big deal... there are 200,000 people set to march in Washington D.C. on January 21, not even including the thousands hosting sister marches in 42 states and 20 countries around the world. The wholly inclusive march, which continues to get bigger every day, is a joint effort between dozens of partner advocacy groups and resistance movements, including those fighting for civil rights, LGBTQIA rights, worker's rights, immigrant rights, and environmental protection. Families, friends and allies interested in supporting human rights and social justice will take part.

Chantelle Bryson will be one of the tens of thousands of women expected at the Women's March on Washington. "I just kept saying, I think we should march".

Nearly overnight, that statement prompted activists to formally organize, and the Women's March was born.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the marches planned in major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Boston, and NY, have some of the biggest expected turnouts from current registration numbers, but support is also strong for marches in smaller cities as well, like Topeka, Nashville, Des Moines, Oklahoma City, Columbus, and Phoenix.

At least five buses have been organized to take marchers from Cincinnati to Washington.

"Women's rights are human rights and when one group is marginalised it affects us all", she said.

The First Suspects In Kim Kardashian's Robbery Have Been Charged
Seven suspects have been released including a chauffeur who was used by Kardashian during her stay. Both worked for the same vehicle service company, but Michael Madar was freed earlier this week.

"I'm wanting my presence to make a statement", she said. "I've seen a very different grassroots response from the general public on a wide scale to the refugee crisis, and I think that that shows where Canadian values truly are".

Trump has come under fire for his attitudes toward women that emerged as he campaigned for the presidency. Her voice joined the chorus of more than a thousand women on this page alone.

Fillion said she met numerous 50 women she will be traveling with last weekend when they had a logistical meeting.

Khan said she hoped the event would allow people to heal divisions and unite over common goals.

Many are inspired by Trump's campaign rhetoric that they feel will undermine issues relevant to women; policies of inclusion, reproductive rights, voting rights, free press, affordable health care, racial and gender equality, equal pay and higher minimum wage are just some of the issues that have galvanized women. A relative, for example, had reported being sexually harassed at her job, but a supervisor brushed it off, she said.

"I'm furious at the disrespect, not only to women but to everyone", said Barbara Paight of Milford.

"If we don't keep the dialogue going then how will we ever resolve our issues?" Is this what I want it to look like?

In a series of videos produced by the Women's March on Washington NYC Chapter, women explain what these agendas mean to them.
