Apple stores set for global makeover, addition of new educational programming

Apple has announced Today at Apple educational programs that will launch in all 495 Apple Stores across the world this May. "And you know, I've told the teams, 'I'll know we've done a really, really great job if the next generation, if Gen Z says, "Meet me at Apple".

The retail vision Ahrendts is debuting in Dubai today turns existing Apple Stores into a kind of central space built to serve local communities. "We think it will be a fun and enlightening experience who joins this". "Today at Apple" also has sessions geared towards educators with Teacher Tuesday. The changes mirror several undertaken at an Apple store in San Francisco a year ago. I had conversations with several people that week who felt drawn to the new store and had arranged to meet friends there.

Angela Ahrendts is the the senior vice president of retail and online stores at Apple. The Creative Pros will also have 90 minute studio hours - like a professor's office hours. Sessions will be led by Creative Pros, a new retail store position filled by people with deep domain knowledge in the subjects they teach.

Lessons include: Photo Walks and Sketch Walks helping you take your photography and art skills to new levels; Pro Series helping you get more out of Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X; Coding sessions introducing you to coding with Swift; and Kids Hours helping kids make music, movies, and more.

They're also redesigning their 1000 biggest stores with updated seating and sound, Forum Displays and mobile screens for Today at Apple sessions, living trees, new wooden finishes, and wall displays for their various products.

Perspectives and Performances: Offered at select stores, these feature influential artists and musicians (Apple's website shows Wu-Tang Clan mastermind the RZA giving a talk in New York City) discussing their creative process or sharing their talents live.
