Iran is failing to live up to the "spirit" of the nuclear deal struck in 2015, President Donald Trump said Thursday, warning that his administration is debating whether or not to leave the landmark pact.
Italian Premier Paolo Gentiloni will meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday afternoon, with the discussion to focus on Italy's central role in the Mediterranean and the current crises underway in the region. This week he said he would make "some very big changes" to the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico or "we are going to get rid of NAFTA for once and for all".
President Donald Trump on Thursday said he does not believe the United States should continue to play a role in stabilizing Libya, where violence and political instability has reigned since the overthrow of the country's dictator.
To a question on his visit to Italy this summer to attend the G-7 Summit, he said he looks forward to meeting Pope Francis.
Gentiloni noted Italy and America's "common commitment against terrorism".
Gentiloni today is in Ottawa to finish preparing for the G7 summit he will host in Taormina, Sicily, in May with a meeting with Canadian leader Justin Trudeau.
Iran is failing to fulfill the "spirit" of its nuclear deal with world powers, President Donald Trump has declared, setting an ominous tone for his forthcoming decision about whether to pull the USA out of the landmark agreement.

VP Pence arrives in Australia, last stop in Asia
He explained that the terror attack launched in Paris, France, was a warning that a terror attack can happen anywhere and anytime. Pence says Trump will also attend the East Asia Summit that follows the regional meetings in the Philippines that same month.
"And it's also, in my opinion - in my very strong opinion, important for the United States", Trump said at a joint press conference with Gentiloni.
They took pains not to offend the man most closely associated with the growing popularity of protectionist trade measures and closed borders: Trump. "We have to be strong and we have to be vigilant and I have been saying it for a long time".
Standing next to Trudeau, Gentiloni said he "strongly" hoped the attack would not have any impact on the French elections "because naturally that is what the terrorists would want".
The outcome of France's presidential election is being closely watched for signs that Europe is moving toward nationalist candidates who advocate the European Union's dissolution.
The two leaders also took to their podiums as reports surfaced of an attack that killed one police officer and wounded another in Paris.
Trump said he saw defeating the Islamic State, be it in Iraq or Libya, as the primary task for the U.S., beyond which he would want to focus on issues back home.
