Anya Taylor-Joy and Maisie Williams officially join Fox's New Mutants


Taylor-Joy is best known for her role in Split, which surprised box office analysts an recently spawned a sequel. The movie, which will be directed by "The Fault in Our Stars" Josh Boone is looking to start production this July.

New Mutants will follow Magik and Wolfsbane, with the yet-to-be-cast mutants Cannonball, Moonstar, and Sunspot. As Wolfsbane, a.k.a. Rahne Sinclair, Williams will take on the role of a Scottish mutant who transforms into a wolf-human hybrid with some powerful feral instincts and a religious upbringing that leaves her conflicted about her transformations.

Fox's long-awaited X-Men spinoff New Mutants is finally getting casting up. Her powers are Portal incarnate, she can teleport around the Earth via "Limbo" using what is described as "teleportation discs".

Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the world of Westeros, joined the X-Men universe past year when she appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse as telepath Jean Grey. Taylor-Joy, meanwhile, was very optimistic about taking on the Magik role in conversation with CS earlier this year. Anya's turn in Split showed us an actor with keen ability to reel viewers with her intensity and heroism.
