Shortly after the Grammy nominee's United Kingdom show ended Monday night, an explosion caused by a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured 119 near the Manchester Arena ticket office.

Abedi's brother has confessed to a Libyan militia that the two of them belonged to Islamic State.

Ariana Grande has suspended her European tour through June 5, according to her management.

Abedi died in the attack.

Libyan security forces said Wednesday that they had arrested a brother, 18, and the father of Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi.

USA intelligence officials also prematurely leaked information about the suspected bomber on Tuesday, which led to the publication of Salman Abedi's name, as well the fact that the attack was a suicide bomb.

Ahmed bin Salem, a spokesman for the Special Deterrent Force (SDF), the paramilitary group that is questioning the family, told the Associated Press that Salman "was giving farewell" when he phoned. Authorities have claimed that the 22-year-old suicide bomber traveled to the Middle East within the last year, including visits to Syria and Libya, his ancestral homeland.

British officials said a 23-year-old man was arrested in South Manchester in connection with the attack, but did not divulge further details about that individual's identity.

"I think it's very clear that this is a network that we are investigating", Manchester police chief Ian Hopkins told reporters Wednesday.

Rudd says Britain's increased official threat level will remain at "critical" as the investigation proceeds.

Another official said, "We knew he was going a little insane and left, but he went quiet and returned a few days ago, and we had no information about him in between".
