In the viral California video footage, which can be watched at the top of this article, you can see some of the great white sharks swimming next to the paddle-boarders.

Emergency officials issued evacuation warnings to beach goers from a helicopter.

With more and more shark sightings off the Long Beach coast, beachgoers are being warned to enter the water at their own risk.

The great white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) were spotted off Dana Point, a known hotspot for the species. No aggressive behavior had been observed.

Shortly after, the department tweeted that the advisory would be in affect for the next 24 hours.

A surf organization that monitors shark activity says almost 30 sharks were spotted from Long Beach to San Onofre beach in just one day this week.
