I'll be back: Arnold Schwarzenegger confirms role in latest Terminator film
May 22 2017
The next Terminator film from producer James Cameron is indeed on the way with Arnold Schwarzenegger on board to appear in the film.
Schwarzenegger confirmed a return to Terminator at Cannes while speaking with Screen Daily. (James) has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise.
He added: "I will be in the movie".
The previous attempt to revive the franchise was 2015's Terminator Genisys, and it wasn't well received despite grossing $440 million worldwide.
Confirming his casting, he also revealed that he had met Cameron recently and discussed the project. Cameron hasn't worked on any films in the franchise since Terminator 2, and it's possible he may have a way to save it from its own extinction. He's had some involvement here and there but it's been mostly in the hands of other creators.

Both Kerr and Brown emphasized a better start on both ends in Game 2 to control the tempo from the opening tip. Golden State quickly established its pass-happy, up-tempo style to take the Spurs out from the opening tip.
"Cameron will be producing it, and there will be another director on it".
While promoting his new environmental documentary Wonders Of The Sea in Cannes, Schwarzenegger revealed details of two of his upcoming movie projects, including a reboot of his 1982 film Conan the Barbarian. Now at least the next Terminator film has a chance at not being bad.
Schwarzenegger also said he has plans for a Twins sequel called Triplets, which will feature Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy.
