Bernie Sanders-Wife-Investigation story

Sanders' Wife Under FBI Probe for Real Estate Deal

The Vermont senator has previously implied the investigation is politically motivated, and it indeed was instigated by Brady Toensing, President Trump's campaign manager in Vermont.

Mrs Sanders' seven-year tenure at the liberal arts school ended in 2011.

According to allegations leveled last January by Brady Toensing - one of USA president Donald Trump's top supporters in Vermont - Sanders' wife lied about the now-defunct college's financial support on an application for a $10 million bank loan for a 33-acre piece of property it purchased from the Roman Catholic church.

Bernie Sanders (I-VT), once a candidate for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, told host Erin Burnett his wife Jane Sanders was "about the honest person" he knew when asked about reports of an FBI investigation of her financial dealings. When she left it, it was in better shape.

On Tuesday night's edition of "OutFront", Burnett wrapped up her interview with Sen.

"Not only when we have politicians being destroyed. but you go after your wife, people's wives, that is pretty pathetic".

Military jet practicing for Dayton air show in accident
Authorities say an F-16 Thunderbird military jet apparently practicing for an OH air show has been involved in an accident. A Thunderbird F-16 was involved in an incident Friday while practicing for an OH air show, according to multiple reports.

The FBI's investigation ultimately stems from a January 2016 complaint, claiming Jane Sanders falsified the $10 million loan application.

According to Toensing, the investigation was started right away under "President Obama, his Attorney General, and his U.S. Attorney, all of whom are Democrats". "But, it's fairly pathetic that when people are involved in public life, its not only they get attacked but their wives and their families get attacked". Sanders' enduring political aide Jeff Weaver confirmed that the senator and Jane Sanders had sought legal protection from attorneys Rich Cassidy and Larry Robbins.

While the then-president reportedly indicated there was $2.6 million in pledged donations, Burlington College only got $676,000 over the next four years.

Sen. Sanders in May told reporters that he would not elaborate on the accusations drawn against him because "there is a process going on". Moore confirmed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had been in contact with her multiple times, asking about the the loan, since the request was filed by Toensing.
