Shadow of the Colossus remake announced for the PlayStation 4

At its E3 press conference on Monday night, Sony unveiled a high-definition remaster of "Shadow of the Colossus", one of the most critically-acclaimed video games in the PlayStation library.

The remake is coming announced nearly 12 years after the original game was released on October 18, 2005.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe (SIEE) has gone forward with filing several different patents, including one for Shadow of the Colossus and a game called The Inpatient. Take a look at the trailer here!

Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2005, "Shadow of the Colossus" is something of a landmark in gaming history. The vast, open landscapes of Shadow of the Colossus have also returned, but they have received a significant facelift. Bringing Shadow of the Colossus to the forefront of this would certainly help things along, and would explain what Team Ico has been doing ever since The Last Guardian released last December.
