Amazon Is Launching A Series Of Alexa Training Workshops Worldwide

Hence, the Android version of Alexa is very limited. This week, Android phone owners can finally get a glimpse of the "most skilled" artificial intelligence-powered assistant right through the Amazon app.

Apparently, the in-app version of Alexa will be nearly the same as the one found on the Amazon Echo and Dot speakers.

So, once the feature is live on all the Android handsets, users can ask Alexa about anything as they normally would while using it on Echo devices.

It remains a question why Amazon made a decision to integrate Alexa into its mobile shopping app, especially if the standalone Alexa app already exists, but we're not complaining.

The Amazon app has previously featured basic voice commands for adding items to your cart, searching for products throughout Amazon, and tracking previous orders.

As to why Amazon would include the virtual assistant in the shopping app, the answer is pretty simple: the Amazon app on Android has somewhere between 100 million and 500 million installs.

The main Amazon app's massive userbase is a great way to reach potential Alexa/Echo customers who otherwise have Siri or Google Assistant at their disposal.

GraphIQ pulled back its service offerings and announced in June that it would no longer support publishers, presumably to refocus its efforts on Amazon-related ventures.
