Taylor Swift's defense team digs into former DJ in cross-examination to kick off trial

Mueller was sacked days after the incident.

When McFarland questioned his client, he asked about where and how exactly the contact between Mueller and Swift occurred.

Mueller did not sue his station KYGO or its parent company Lincoln Financial Media Co. of Colorado, after he was sacked June 4, 2013.

Mueller is seeking up to $3 million in damages.

She claimed he slipped his hand under her dress and grabbed her bare bottom as they posed. The pop star has since responded with a suit of her own. But he insists he was touching Swift in her ribs, not her rear, as she alleges in the groping case.

In his initial court filing, Mueller claimed he was approached by Swift's security team after the incident.

Swift's attorney, Douglas Baldridge, attacked the credibility of former Denver DJ David Mueller on Tuesday, asking jurors, "What's wrong with this picture?" "His motivation is money, calling attention to himself, and getting revenge on his boss".

The trial, taking place in Denver, is expected to last nine days.

According to court testimony today, Swift - who was 23-years-old at the time - posed for a photo when the alleged groping occurred.

Mindanao mayor killed in drug raid
Police said none of their officers was hurt apart from one who sustained a minor injury from an explosion. Police say they seized firearms, ammunition, drugs and drug paraphernalia from this residence.

One of the assistants said Swift told them shortly after the photo with Mueller was taken: "Dude, that guy just grabbed my ass".

"She reacted, pushed her skirt down and jumped to the side", Baldridge said. "It's not ruffled, rumbled, affected in any form or fashion". Mr. Mueller was also in attendance, although the pair did not look at each other during the process. He was also barred from attending any of Swift's future concerts.

The lawyer also noted that Swift's photographer said she heard the A-list star say "that guy" was the butt grabber and gesture toward Mueller.

Her lawyer, Doug Baldridge, told the jury that four members of Swift's team were in the room where the photo was taken, and knew immediately something wrong had happened. Swift is expected to testify. Her only visible jewelry was a silver ring, and she had swept her hair (back to dirty blond, not the bleached platinum it was earlier this year) into a low bun. Swift countersued Mueller, claiming sexual assault.

The 2013 photograph of Swift and Mueller is a key piece of evidence in both lawsuits but this isn't the only imagery causing a stir.

"I accept that", Mueller says.

After detailing his career history and his relationships with his boss, Eddie Haskell and his girlfriend at the time, Shannon Melcher, who appears in the now-infamous photo of Mueller with Swift, Mueller recounted his experience at the Pepsi Center on June 2, 2013, and his subsequent firing, firmly denying any "inappropriate touching" or change in his story.

Mueller describes the photo as "awkward", and says it's fair that his general manager at KYGO, Bob Call, could consider it "weird and awkward" as well.
