Faulkner Planetarium Expands Schedule of Solar Eclipse Film

If you happen to be going to Alder this week, you will also be given a pair with admission, and you can even watch the event at the Alder Planetarium's Eclipse Fest happening on Monday. The first 100 attendees will receive free eclipse glasses which allow people to view the event in a simple and safe manner.

Inside the museum, guests can check out exhbitions, including the newest, Chasing Eclipses, which prepares visitors for the total solar eclipse. The Planetarium will host events with expert astronomers, telescopes, educational displays and live streams of the eclipse from multiple states throughout the country including those experiencing totality. The last time a total eclipse was visible in the United States was February 26, 1979. Then an eclipse-viewing demonstration takes place at 11:15 a.m. followed by live NASA coverage beginning at 11:45 a.m. NASA will broadcast the eclipse from other cities which can be viewed from Adler's main stage.
