The White House said first lady Melania Trump will accompany the president on the trip, which is to include his attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Vietnam and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in the Philippines.
Assuming he follows through on his travel plans, U.S. President Donald Trump's upcoming visits to Vietnam, the Philippines, and possibly China will shine a potentially unforgiving spotlight on his administration's approach toward Asia and appetite for a continued regional leadership role.
"The president's engagements will strengthen the worldwide resolve to confront the North Korean threat and ensure the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula", the White House said in a statement.
The trip will take place November 3-14.
US State Secretary Rex Tillerson flew to Beijing late on Thursday and will meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and State Councillor Yang Jiechi on Saturday.
Moon previously suggested that if North Korea suspends its nuclear and missile activities, the South could consult with the United States to scale down joint military exercises and reduce the deployment of USA strategic weapons to the South, speaking at a think tank in Washington in June.
According to Dr Brad Roberts, former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defence for nuclear and missile defence policy has said that attacking Australia is a choice that North Korea leader Kim Jong-un would make, without anyone having a say in it.

China says war on Korean peninsula will have no victor
With Donald Trump threatening North Korea with awful destruction , it is easy to see why the situation is worrying investors. Trump repeated praise he offered last week for China's reported breaking off of banking relations with North Korea.
A war against North Korea "cannot happen" even if "the Korea-U.S. alliance breaks down", said Moon Chung-in, presidential special adviser on foreign affairs and national security, speaking at a panel on how to resolve the Korean Peninsula crisis hosted by the East Asian Future Foundation in Seoul Wednesday.
The month of September saw intensified North Korean threats aimed at South Korea and the USA and also several high profile nuclear and ballistic missile tests.
Donald Trump will travel to Asia in November for the first time since becoming the US President. "I want to thank President Xi", Mr Trump said at a news conference with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.
Now in Australia, Dr Roberts said that Kim might target Australia in a bid to separate USA allies from the US.
Security is expected to top the agenda as tensions run high over North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
China accounts for around 90 per cent of North Korea's trade, and the isolated state is highly dependent on Chinese oil imports.
"We're looking at all of it", the official said.
