Tillerson Won't Reply to "Petty" Charge He Called Trump a Moron

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says he has never considered leaving his post as Secretary of State, amid reports there's been tension with President Donald Trump.

Attempting to pour cold water on reports of a rift between him and Donald Trump, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters on Wednesday that he remains "fully committed to this moron's agenda".

"I'm just not going to be part of this effort to divide this administration", he said.

He told the media that his commitment to the USA and Trump's success was so strong as it was the first day on which he accepted the post.

Tillerson reportedly nearly resigned after President Trump's horrific politicization of a speech he gave to the Boy Scouts.

As for the President, earlier this morning he had denounced reports from NBC News that Tillerson had threatened to resign, and of his negative reviews for Mr. Trump, labeling it 'fake news'.

Giancarlo Stanton hits two home runs, needs one more for 60
He struck out six of the last seven batters he faced, and got support from home runs by Jason Kipnis, Roberto Perez and Jay Bruce. It was another no-doubter for Stanton, who is the first player to reach 58 home runs since Ryan Howard with the Phillies in 2006.

The NBC News report also cited comments from Tillerson's spokesman R.C. Hammond, suggesting doubts at the State Department and the White House about Nikki Haley, the outspoken USA ambassador to the United Nations.

Tillerson reaffirmed his commitment to the administration and praised Trump, saying that "he loves his country". He's smart, he demands results wherever he goes and he holds those around him accountable for whether they've done the job he's asked them to do. The report also said Tillerson was on the verge of resigning this summer and had to be talked out of it by Vice President Mike Pence.

Stephanie Ruhle, one of the NBC News reporters whose byline appears on the initial report, doubled down on her reporting following Tillerson's statement. No wonder their news ratings are way down!' "It was a totally phony story", Trump added.

And speaking on MSNBC, NBC's Carol Lee said that NBC "extensively reported" the story, speaking with a dozen sources.

Trump publicly criticized Tillerson on Twitter, chastising his top diplomat for trying to work out a diplomatic solution with North Korea.
