Officials from the luxury sports vehicle maker presented Francis with the sleek white auto with papal yellow-gold detailing on Wednesday outside the Vatican hotel where he lives.

"Give to the needy, stop tithing to the greedy, while one Port Harcourt pastor got a private jet and Rolls Royce on his 55th birthday, our Pope was selling a Lamborghini gifted to him, to raise money for charity".

Lamborghini has created a one-off special edition of its Huracan supercar for Pope Francis.

The Huracan starts at around $200,000, though I suspect this one will go for a bit more than that.

Lamborghini made a sports vehicle especially for Pope Francis-but it seems he's going to stick with the popemobile. Under the patronage of the Pontifical Foundation "Aiuto alla Chiesa che Soffre" (Aid to the Church in Need), part of the funding realized by auction is to ensure the return of the Christian community to Iraq's Nineveh Plain by rebuilding homes, public buildings and places of worship.
