Accused in Dangal Actress Molestation Case Arrested by Mumbai Police

Dangal actor Zaira Wasim shares her molestation story on Instagram

On Sunday, the 17-year-old actor, a National Award victor, posted a social media video narrating how she was touched inappropriately during a Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight the night before.

"My husband is a family man". He further added that he apologized to the 17-year-old actress for unintentionally touching her neck with his foot.

Wasim said she did not notice his foot at first due to the turbulence of the flight, and that she also tried to film his behaviour but it was too dark.

The actor took to Instagram to post two videos, one taken on the flight and one from the airport, in which she spoke about a passenger allegedly running his foot over her back and neck while she was half-asleep.

The "Dangal" actor, who had narrated her ordeal on the Vistara flight from Delhi to Mumbai on Instagram, had said that a passenger sitting behind her put his feet on her armrest. The 39-year-old accused has been booked under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code, and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). There should be inquiry about why the cabin crew did not help her. That was very shocking because Vistara claims that it has zero tolerance and they have not sensitise their crew to take action against men who torturing women on flight. "And this is the worst thing", she added.
