Well, we can all breathe a sigh of relief because 2017's Google Trend recap has been released and frankly, we couldn't agree more.

Each year, we're always intrigued and excited to see whether everyone's top Google search terms align with our own.

Globally, the top search was for Hurricane Irma.

Former "Today" show host Matt Lauer was the second most searched term in the US because of the prominent journalist's firing in November over sexual harassment allegations. The McGregor vs Mayweather fight was the second most popular sporting event but clearly, this presented difficulties for some viewers, as we had to ask Google "How to watch McGregor vs Mayweather".
