Busted Elderly Couple Says 60 Pounds of Pot Was Meant for Christmas Presents

The married couple was driving around with 60 pounds of the loud, according to the York News Times. When officers said they smelled marijuana, the couple admitted they were carrying contraband.

A canine unit was called in and the dog alerted to the presence of a controlled substance, so deputies searched the vehicle and found the marijuana in boxes inside the bed of the truck.

Police say the marijuana had an estimated street value of over $300,000.
