PlayStation gamers, get ready for a system update coming your way soon. This new feature will come under the console's parental controls and will allow Family Manager profiles to set limits on when their children can play and how long they're able to do so. Apart from setting this to check on their kid's playtime, the family manager/guardians can apply playtime restrictions to make sure that the child is only playing for a set amount of time or within set playable hours.

There's also the option to add extra game time an the choice to automatically log the child out of the PS4 once their allotted playtime is over.

Two new tabs have also been added to the console's library, making it easier to see what specific apps that have been installed, and what ones have just been purchased. The PS4 tab will show you all of the games and apps installed on the PlayStation, while the PSN ID tab will show you all of the content purchased by that individual user.

Another section of the library allows you to see what games you now own through PlayStation Plus, keeping in mind that you'll lose access to said games should your subscription lapse. There will be an icon beside those free games to let the user know if their subscription has expired and they need to register again to continue playing. They can do so via the pulldown menu under the Friends tab in Quick Menu.

Other improvements include further options for the PlayStation 4 Quick Menu, including volume controls for music and some friends list changes. You'll also be able to delete old notifications to help clean up your list.

With this new feature, users can listen to their favorite tracks while streaming games on PS Now. Oh well. There will always be another PS4 update! As previously leaked those with a PlayStation 4 Pro but who do not own a 4K TV can take advantage of the Supersampling mode, which renders the image at a high resolution but then squishes it back in to 1080p. The mode gives PS4 Pro owners who don't own a 4K display the option to enjoy an enhanced visual experience.
