Rain and storms tonight; a pleasant finish to the weekend

Steady heavier rain expected late tonight into Sunday morning

Heavy rain and gusty winds will be the main threat but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

The outlook for Monday through Thursday looks looks good, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 50s, dropping to around or near freezing overnight. A cold front moved thru the state, which fired up the showers and thunderstorms.

Widespread scattered showers for Acadiana will be possible from 4AM-11AM with a few strong thunderstorms mixed in as well, especially between 7AM-11AM. And more rain will move through before the month ends.

Tonight, we'll see an increase in clouds with temperatures in the lower 60s. We could see anywhere from a half an inch to an inch of rain by the time you wake up tomorrow.
