Microsoft is trying something new with Windows 10 S next year. While Microsoft already uses AI in a number of smaller ways across Windows, the company says its AI platform will give developers the tools to easily take advantage of AI and machine learning with their apps. The company has yet to confirm these details, but considering the launch of S Mode is still a year away, it has a long time to strategize how it's going to market and sell Windows 10 S Mode. Just as things now work with the standalone version, S Mode in Windows 10 will limited devices to running Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps that Microsoft has curated through its Windows Store. Whatever the case, expect cheap laptops and even desktop PCs to start being advertised with "Windows 10 - 10S Mode" from next year. The news is a logical next step for the still-young Windows 10 S concept.

Microsoft is as well planning to introduce the S Mode for Windows 10 Home, Enterprise and the Pro versions of the OS. They need to clarify every single angle to the customers regarding the move, like specifically which devices will have the default enabling of S Mode, and so on. That rumor also stated that PCs with Windows 10 Home and Education in S Mode will be able to upgrade to Home for free, but Pro users will have to pay $49 to upgrade from Pro with S Mode to regular Pro. Chrome OS and Chromebooks proved popular in the education market, both because of the comparatively low price and ease of use.

In a video of the rescue effort, people can be seen digging with their hands and with shovels in an effort to help the man. Around 11:50 a.m. rescuers found that three people had been partially buried, but were able to free themselves.

Given the prevalence of machine-learning and AI in all of our devices, Microsoft wanted to make sure its new framework would complement the wealth of devices out there.

"We use Win10S as an option for schools or businesses that want the "low-hassle"/ guaranteed performance version", Belfiore said on Twitter.
