Bangladesh captian Shakib Al Hasan had smashed the dressing room door during the 6th T20I against Sri Lanka, if reports are to be believed. However, Nurul's was fined for waving his finger at Srilankan player Thisara Perera.

Shakib apologised in the post-match presentation but that did didn't stop the ICC match referee Chris Broad from slapping a 25% fine on the all-rounder and also gave him one demerit point along with Nurul Hasan while the Bangladesh Cricket Board offered to pay for the damages.

Shakib briefly called his batsmen off the field, nearly forfeiting the match, when the umpires failed to award a no-ball to his team after medium-pacer Isuru Udana bowled too many bouncers in the over. However, after the first two balls, Shakib seemed to be irate as he felt they should have been called as no-balls.

Bangladeshi players then responded angrily with substitutes charging into the middle and skipper Shakib Al Hasan was seen repeatedly ordering the two batsmen off the ground.

Previously on March 12, BCB physio had suggested that Shakib's injury might take some time to heal and that he would be able to return to sports activities in 7-10 days.

Chicago Pulls Out Of Joint US Bid To Host 2022 World Cup
Ottawa announced its official support for Canadian cities in the bid - promising up to $5 million in immediate help if the unified bid is selected.

"The square leg umpire had signalled it a no-ball and then upon discussions, changed the call, which I don't think is the right decision", Shakib said at the end of the match. However, one of the biggest talking points from the tri-nation T20 series had nothing to do with the gentleman's game.

Bangladesh eventually won the match and mocked the Sri Lankan team through their "Naagin dance" celebrations which left a bad taste in the mouth of the cricket fans and viewers. On the field, of course, I want my team to win and it applies to them too.

Apart from the behaviour of the Bangladesh players on the field, there was more trouble following the ending of the fixture. You can't ask your players tom come out.

Shakib did wonder, however, about what happens to the Bangladesh team when they are in a final; they have now lost five tournament finals in the limited-overs formats, including a similarly tight last-over defeat against Pakistan in the 2012 Asia Cup final. Soumya Sarkar despite having a moderate outing in Nidahas Trophy is the highest place among the Bangladesh batsmen in the rankings, a step ahead of Chris Gayle as he is ranked in 31st place.
