NFL Draft: New Arizona QB Josh Rosen has something to say

Jets coach Todd Bowles wants his players

The Arizona Cardinals' first round selection Josh Rosen was introduced to the media on Friday after being selected 10th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

- On second thought, it's not the nine players that were drafted ahead of Rosen but rather the three quarterbacks - Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Josh Allen - who had their names called before his that really upset him the most on draft night. It's what helped set Rosen apart from the other highly-rated quarterbacks in this year's draft class and why the Cardinals felt convicted to move up five spots to draft him with the 10th overall pick.

"I thought I should've been picked at 1, 2 or 3", Rosen said, according to ESPN.com.

"It was really cool when he came down and mentored me a little bit", Rosen said.

"I get a lot of Jewish things", he told NFL.com reporter Michael Silver.

"I'm very real. I am who I am and I think that's why I'm very grateful to be an Arizona Cardinal because the team that picked me, they picked me". Rosen said he "obviously" wants to be the starter for Arizona but won't disrupt the room and will support whoever gets the ball.

Jazz crowd taunts Paul George during Game 3
While Sunday's practice was focused predominantly on physical recovery, the Jazz still did film study - as they always do. The Thunder started the second half hot, taking a 63-60 lead on a 3-pointer from Anthony, but again Utah had the answer.

"I'm not going to come in and be an a-hole and think that my s-- don't stink. It's relationship-based, and you got to know guys individually so there's not sort of one swooping strategy to be a leader", Rosen said Friday during his introductory press conference.

For their part, however, Cardinals fans should be feeling as fired up about Rosen's comments as he was when he made them. "I understand the situation".

Rosen made 30 career starts as a Bruin. Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon are both two unbelievable quarterbacks.

Rosen is raring to go, and he's determined to prove his doubters wrong in a bigger way than ever before.

Rosen was openly critical of President Donald Trump in a 2016 Instagram post that showed him wearing a hat with a ribbon that said "F-- Trump" on it while golfing at one of Trump's golf courses. He says he can't wait to get to work and realizes he will have to earn any playing time he gets as he starts out as a backup to Sam Bradford. And while Bradford is unlikely to lead the Cardinals to a Super Bowl, there are worse places for Rosen to be than the Cardinals. "They're going to get a kid that everyone knows who they're getting every single day that I walk in the building".
