Ravens agree to deal with QB Robert Griffin III

The Baltimore Ravens have signed quarterback Robert Griffin III to a one-year deal, general manager Ozzie Newsome confirmed during the team's pre-draft news conference April 4.

Griffin will compete for a backup QB role behind Joe Flacco in Baltimore.

Newsome said Griffin went to work out for a second team after throwing for the Ravens last week.

Girffin hasn't played since the 20016 season.

Griffin took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate his signing with the Ravens.
