Gas prices nearing $3 gallon nationally

According to AAA, the national average going into the weekend is $2.97 cents a gallon, which is 20 cents more than last month and roughly 60 cents more than this time previous year.

According to GasBuddy.com, gas prices are at an average of $2.87 per gallon in Green Bay, and in Appleton, the average gas price is at $2.83 per gallon, as of Friday morning.

Gas prices are expected to reach four-year high during this Memorial Day travel season. As of Friday afternoon, the average price of regular gas in the area was $2.90, up from $2.15 on May 25, 2017. MS is the cheapest place to buy gas in America, with an average price of $2.654 a gallon.
