Liam Payne has revealed the release date of his debut solo album

While in New York City for a performance on Good Morning America, Liam Payne revealed that his debut album will be released on September 14th.

"[My album] is out on the 14th of September, I can tell you that much", he revealed.

He added: 'Just hanging out going, "Yeah, I like that one, but this one doesn't really do it for me"'.

Continuing, the singer said that he had collaborated with a "good mix of attractive people" on the record.

And Steve Mac, who has been working on Liam's record, previously promised it will feature "hit after hit".

Payne has so far released a handful of singles as a solo artist, including Strip That Down featuring Quavo - released in May previous year - and For You with Rita Ora.

When asked how he copes with the public interest in his life, Liam said, "Laugh it off and remember it will become a story one day".
