Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who is consistently well-placed to make accurate Apple predictions, is suggesting that next week's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will have a heavy software focus and will not include any major hardware announcements. You can watch the livestream on Apple's website.

These details will be bundled into a menu of the Settings app in the new iOS version.

In recent months, Apple Inc. has been criticized for the addictive nature of its devices.

"We're creating tools and features that help people better understand their tech usage, focus on what matters most, disconnect when needed, and create healthy habits for the whole family", Google said in a statement at the time. Former Facebook president Sean Parker stated Facebook's design exploited weakness in the human psyche to addict users, and said he anxious about what it was doing to kids' brains.

"Despite Siri's relative adoption among Apple consumers and more recently with Apple Business Chat, more brands plan to invest in Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant than in Apple's 'Siri, '" said Thomas Husson, Vice President, Principal Analyst serving chief marketing officers at Forrester.

The same goes for a redesigned iPad Pro family with a built-in Face ID.

HomePod Apple is not coming slow!

It's now unclear what will be included in this new operating system although it's thought Apple is concentrating on making its popular OS even more secure and stable.

But that device was delayed and generally met with lackluster reviews if you were looking for a capable digital assistant on par with Amazon's Echo and Google's Home products. The company may launch a wireless charging pad called the AirPower that it announced a year ago. Apple's priority right now is to improve the quality and responsiveness of its software.
