NBA Free Agent Rumors: Julius Randle Agrees To Contract With Pelicans

Julius Randle

A day after its bombshell signing of LeBron James, Los Angeles agreed to a one-year deal with Rajon Rondo, ESPN reported Monday.

Randle had been searching for an offer sheet as a restricted free agent, but the Lakers didn't want to match a sheet and commit long-term years and money as they pursue the possibility of star free agents in 2019, including Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs. Randle is more of a ball-handler and off-the-dribble threat.

Rondo is on his sixth team since the 2014-15 season and has often been disengaged on the court, accused of assist-hunting, and his defense is mostly overrated. McGee typically sat on the bench for the Warriors last two Finals runs, and though he looked great during some moments in the most recent championship, it was often when surrounded by four Hall of Fame players.

Ball and Rondo, who appear to have redundant skill sets, are likely to compete for the starting position during camp, assuming the Lakers don't have plans to include Ball in a possible trade.

Meanwhile, England might feel a route to the last four is opening up nicely, thanks to Thursday's defeat against Belgium. He's a really good player with real confidence about himself. "It's a great challenge for us to be faced against them".

Marcus Rashford is expected to take Raheem Sterling's place and Dele Alli is available again after training for the past two days. I thought they had the better controlled possession, and the better chances in the first half", said Soutgate.

The company plans to close between 13 and 14 facilities, shutting its doors across nine states including California and NY . The company faces investor pressure to turn a profit without having to tap Wall Street for additional capital.

Rondo's contract is reportedly worth $9 million, per Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

He has increased both his scoring average and field goal percentage in each of the last three seasons, coming in at 16.1 a night on 55.8 per cent from the floor last season in 82 games for the Lakers.

Adding the 32-year-old Rondo makes for a unique situation as the Lakers selected point guard Lonzo Ball with the No.2 overall choice in the 2017 draft. Randle would have cost a lot, unless they were able to get him to agree to a big one-year deal.
