Yaya Toure passes medical at unnamed London club according to agent

Manuel Pellegrini says Yaya Toure wanted to join West Ham

After Yaya Toure's agent had claimed that his client had a medical in London recently, there were reports linking the player with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Cote d'Ivoire star was linked with a move to West Ham to reunite with former City manager Manuel Pellegrini, but the Hammers boss dismissed those rumours two weeks ago.

It looks like Seluk, not for the first time, was trolling, with The Times revealing that 35-year-old Touré has agreed to rejoin one of his former clubs.

Toure then played 29 times for the Greek side in 2005/06 (scoring thrice) before moving onto Monaco the following season.

South African midfielder Bongani Zungu has also been linked with a move to the Greek giants, but it remains to be seen whether or not the club will sign both midfielders before the European window closes.

The Ivory Coast global fell out-of-favour under Pep Guardiola and left City when his contract expired at the end of last season so he's available on a free transfer and has been on the look-out for a new club in recent months.

Yaya Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk dropped another cryptic tweet about where he was going

Celtic fans are hopeful that Dmitri Seluk's tweet on Yaya Toure suggests that the midfielder could be heading to Parkhead.

The Ivorian ended his eight year stay at the English topflight at the end of last season after the Citizens refused to offer him a new deal at the Etihad.

"Roy Hodgson said he doesn't know when his players' birthdays are".

"It's not West Ham, 100%", Seluk wrote.

So getting the paperwork in order might pave the way for him sealing his reported return to Athens.
