Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh yesterday (Sept. 14) denied an allegation of sexual misconduct from a Peninsula woman, seeking to avoid a threat to his confirmation as new details emerged and several senators remained silent on whether they would vote for him.
Ford told the Post that Kavanaugh and a friend, Mark Judge, were both "stumbling drunk" when they took her into a bedroom while they were at a house in suburban Maryland.
With his pal watching, Kavanaugh grinded his body against hers and tried to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it, Ford told the paper.
Ford said the schoolmate jumped on top of them, which somehow allowed her to escape.
Ford said she kept silent about the alleged incident until she was in couples' therapy with her husband in 2012. In late July, Ford sent a letter through Eshoo's office to Feinstein. Judge stood across the room, she said, and both boys were laughing "maniacally".
A woman who alleges she was subjected to a drunken sexual assault by supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh waived her anonymity on Sunday, in order to tell her story.
The classmate said of the allegation, 'I have no recollection of that'. Remember that Ford seems to have been telling the same story for six years at least, while Kavanaugh and Judge try to get through a weekend on the same page. The FBI said last week that it was made aware of the allegation on September 12 and included the material "as part of Judge Kavanaugh's file, as per the standard process".
The White House's response to the allegation raises the cultural stakes of the fight.
On Thursday, Feinstein said she had received "information" regarding Kavanaugh and has passed it on to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
As it stands now, this is simply an attempt to smear a man who had an impeccable reputation in high school.

North Korea's Kim says wants to denuclearise in Trump's first term - Seoul
The two Koreas technically remain at war as the 1950-53 war ended only with an armistice, not a peace treaty. We haven't had any nuclear tests, we haven't had any missile tests, which we consider a great thing.
But if Republican leaders and the Trump team are confident they have enough votes to put Kavanaugh on the highest court in the land, there are ample reasons to think they will carry on with their plans.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Sunday the FBI should investigate Ford's allegations against Kavanaugh and that the probe should occur before the Senate proceeds with the judge's confirmation. "Why suffer through the annihilation if it's not going to matter?" she said.
Kavanaugh has denied the accusations.
She contacted the newspaper through a tip line in early July, when iKavanaugh was on President Donald Trump's shortlist of potential nominees to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, released a statement Sunday afternoon calling the allegations "uncorroborated allegations from more than 35 years ago" and questioning the timing of the emergence of the letter.
According to the Post, Ms. Ford is a registered Democrat who had "made small contributions to political organizations".
"In particular, he has always treated women with decency and respect", the letter said.
Feinstein has not shared details about the letter beyond her statement Thursday, and before this week, no other senators on the Judiciary Committee had been permitted to see it, according to reports.
In a statement Sunday after Ford went public, Feinstein said she supports Ford's decision to share her story and wants the FBI to conduct an investigation before the Senate moves forward.
