A shooting attack by a Palestinian at an industrial zone for a West Bank settlement on Sunday killed two Israelis and wounded another, the army said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has no doubts that the perpetrators of the attack "will be caught and put to justice".

"Bloomberg editors agreed with CAMERA that the officials' position was misrepresented, and commendably amended the article to refer to the killing two Israelis and wounding a third in what officials characterized as a terror attack", as opposed to militant attack.

Israeli forces raided the home of Palestinian prisoner and activist, Hasan Karajeh, in the Safa village, in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah, on Monday morning.

The suspect was identified by the Shin Bet security service as a 23-year-old Palestinian man from the area of the West Bank city of Tul Karem. The Barkan Industrial Park includes approximately 120 businesses and factories and a workforce of 20,000, half of them Palestinian Arabs.

Hamas, the Islamist movement that runs the Gaza Strip, welcomed the attack and called it a "natural response to the crimes of the Israeli occupation".

Israeli fire has killed 148 Palestinians since the marches began.

"According to Palestinian sources, neither the brother, arrested Sunday, nor the sister have any information related to the attack, but the arrests serve to pressure the assailant to reveal himself", Israeli media reported.

Police and the army said the shooter had fled the scene and an operation was underway to track him down.
