"Trace McSorley is the best football player in college football", Penn State head coach James Franklin said Saturday night.

If Penn State lost the game to Iowa, there was a good chance their season could spin out of control with MI and Wisconsin left on the docket.

Miles Sanders #24 of the Penn State Nittany Lions runs the ball into the end zone for a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter of the game against the Indiana Hoosiers at Memorial Stadium on October 20, 2018 in Bloomington, Indiana.

Aside from those two plays, the Hawkeyes kept McSorley contained - for the most part.

McSorley returned to action late in the second quarter. The Nittany Lions drove down into Hawkeye territory following the interception, but the defense stayed resilient, forcing a field goal.

Sacca, who holds the record for most career starts by a Penn State quarterback at 40, was 29-10-1 as a PSU starting QB from 1998-91, with records of 2-3, 7-2-1, 9-3 and 11-2. Against Iowa, he nailed all three attempts of over 40. Trailing by six at the Penn State 44-yard line, Iowa quarterback Nate Stanley tried one last act of desperation on fourth down.

Lucky lottery victor scoops record $1.6bn
In the past, images of gleaming lottery winners holding oversized checks served as great publicity for lotteries. Mega Millions followed suit in October 2017, with odds worsening from 1 in 259 million to 1 in 302.5 million.

Penn State's special teams were a disaster from the start of the game, giving up two safeties on botched punts.

The Hawkeyes had plenty of chances to win Saturday at Beaver Stadium and keep pace atop their division. Before we look ahead to this week's opponent, the Iowa Hawkeyes, let's take a final look back at the Studs and Duds of Penn State against Indiana.

Iowa's defense has yet to be exposed this year in any major way, and that has kept Iowa in some of the games in which its offense hasn't been up to speed. I think, for me personally, what made it such a tough loss to swallow is that we have already seen this happen four games ago against Wisconsin.

Ferentz chalked up his team's success to how the team has grown together over the course of the season, especially when it comes to leadership.

"I guess that's something that if there's any sort of secret out there, I guess that would be it - just investing in your body outside of practice and outside of everything that you're doing on the field". "We've had our leadership base really grow". They've been putting good days on top of each other.
