The G20 countries are - Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union.
The bilaterals, however, are expected to take the center stage at this summit.
May told British media she meant to use the summit to sell the vision of a "global Britain" after its Brexit departure from the European Union, scheduled for March next year.
Further clouding the summit is the escalation of conflict between Russia and Ukraine - a topic that will be on many leaders' minds when they see Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Argentine President Mauricio Macri said the allegations against the prince may be discussed during the G20 summit.
When he was elected in 2015, Mr Macri promised market-friendly reforms to get Argentina's isolated economy back on track.
It must still be ratified by lawmakers in all three countries, and passage in the US could face a tough road in the House of Representatives after Democrats won a majority in November midterm elections.
